Project Update:
February 8, 2006: The fuel system has just been completed and the wiring
is being sorted out. We had run the car by pouring gas in the carb, it
fired and ran fine, but it needed a fuel system. We thought to do it
right and do it once, so we gathered everything we could at swap meets
both new and used parts to come up with a nice fuel system. A new tank
and sump was purchased that we then had tig welded. Number 10 line feeds
the carburetor and number 8 feeds the nitrous selenoid.
Most of the used AN
fittings, braided lines and fuel pumps are used. One of the Holley blue
pumps was retrieved out of the 1985 Camaro that I build 10 years ago,
with a strange set of events I had bought the 85 Camaro back, it had
been completely rotted. I stripped it sold the parts, but saved the
engine for myself and Holley pump for my fathers Camaro. The pumps we
put in his car were so discolored and in poor esthetic condition so I
used a fine sand paper to give it a brushed aluminum look.

The first picture of
the orange 67 Camaro with dual quads is Wayne's former car which was
sold in order to build the 68. This car was a high 11 second car that
was slapped together with parts we had laying around.
