Costa Rica Surfing:
It has 2 separate coasts, the Pacific and the Caribbean, and receives swells from many different directions depending on the time of the year, ensuring that you should be able to find surf someplace during both - rainy and dry seasons. Year round warm water (water temps stay around 80 degrees), warm air and offshore breezes make for great conditions.

Costa Rica has almost 800 miles of coastline (635 miles along the Pacific coast and 132 miles on the Caribbean). There are over 50 well-known, named surf breaks and just as many lesser known ones.

Surf towns are developing in places such as Jaco, Tamarindo and Puerto Viejo.

Jaco is the ideal point for those who want to enjoy an exciting and thrilling experience in Costa Rica. It is just one and a half hour drive from San Jose airport; and here you will find one of the most beautiful beaches in Central America.
